Project Description:
The Barakat Cancer Center façade project is located adjacent to the 1,000-bed Barakat Hospital in Tehran. The design aimed to address the functional requirements of the complex, including circulation, access points, and the specific spatial needs of the cancer treatment facility.
Given the nature of the interior spaces and the limited need for openings, the façade was conceived as a parametric perforated metal skin that serves both aesthetic and environmental purposes. The façade helps regulate solar gain and temperature while providing a visually cohesive and modern identity to the building.
A subtle parametric integration of the Barakat Foundation’s logo within the perforation pattern reinforces the institutional identity through architecture.
